At the premier conference for digital media and connected learning, Sprout launched a new directory of the innovative people, projects, and organizations of the Pittsburgh Kids+Creativity Network!
The Sprout Fund is pleased to announce the launch of sparkpgh.org, a new directory of the innovative people, projects, and organizations of the Pittsburgh Kids+Creativity Network!
The website demonstrates the deep connections that have emerged organically over the last 5 years to yield dozens of projects that improve the lives and learning of children and youth.
The site was launched in conjunction with a strong Pittsburgh presence at the MacArthur Foundation‘s Digital Media & Learning 2012 conference in San Francisco. More than 30 Pittsburghers are representing the creativity and ingenuity of our region in panels and sessions at the conference, which is the premier event in the burgeoning world of digital media and connected learning.
Today the website includes both projects funded directly by The Sprout Fund through its Spark program and those of members of the Pittsburgh delegation to DML 2012. Throughout the next month, more people, projects, and organizations will be added, as well as enhanced listings for upcoming events and opportunities to support people leading activities in these fields in Pittsburgh.
Stay tuned for more info in March and April about the re-launch of the Spark program and its new role serving all the “Modern Day Fred Rogers” of the Pittsburgh Kids+Creativity Network.
